Angela Ferguson - School of Floristry

I attended Angela's course in May 2013 & I must say it has been one of the best decisions I have made in my lifetime. Coming from the corporate world, I needed a career change & decided to take Angela's class with the hope of starting up my own floristry business. As I am 29, I didn't want to invest a 1.5 years into a full-time course in Auckland. I needed to learn - fast!

Angela's course took me to an intermediate level in 2 weeks. It was very practical with heaps of hands-on flower work (which I'm told is not often the case with some of the lengthier courses) & we got to experiment with both traditional and modern designs while at the same time adding our own originality to the design process.

The course taught me all of the design principles and elements required in good floral design. It enlightened me on which areas of floristry I enjoy & what I am naturally good at. It also cemented my decision to pursue floristry as a career and gave me the confidence to open my own business.

Angela has been and still is extremely helpful and supportive in providing advice from her extensive career in floristry. I truly am grateful to have completed the course and feel that I have managed to grasp much of the knowledge learnt by many over a period of years, in just a few short weeks with Angela's help.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to pursue a career in floristry. Young or old. Coming from Auckland, I also very much enjoyed coming down and staying in Te Aroha. I spent the whole 2 weeks there and loved every minute of it. The locals were lovely, the mountain is fantastic & the mineral pools are heaven!
